I have 20 years experience as a designer and am absolutely passionate about what I do. I believe that the discipline & determination I put into perfecting the customer’s journey, by creating an almost instinctive experience, is what sets the bar for the overall look and feel of every aspect of a design.

 

At the heart of my design career has been print and all things printed, from various publications and print ads to books. This ever-changing digital age has meant that design in print is now somewhat of a niche. It's been essential to keep up with the latest design trends over the years especially with the shift to UI and UX principles with the customer's overall experience being at the centre of every design detail.

 

One of my greatest achievements was working on the publication Gaffney's Local Government in South Africa. This single publication was over 1200 pages, with countless sections, chapters, maps and spreadsheets of data that truly put my typography and InDesign skills to the test. Not to mention the collaboration of the digital version that included thousands upon thousands of links and cross-references with an easy-to-navigate interactive PDF that brought this 2 year long project to a successful conclusion.

I am entirely passionate about the work I do, I relish implementing efficient processes to more effectively reach those dreaded deadlines and am a firm believer in working smart.
